Asset manager Jagdfeld Real Estate has been responsible for the “Strandhotel Zingst”, which opened in summer 2006, from the very beginning on behalf of an institutional investor. After the latter decided to remove the hotel from the chain hotel business of the previous tenant Steigenberger, it has been repositioned as an owner-managed individual hotel since January 2022. As part of this successful transformation, asset manager Jagdfeld Real Estate invested EUR 6.75 million in the comprehensive revitalization of the hotel in 2024, which included all rooms and public areas.
The “Strandhotel Zingst” has been recognized several times for its exceptional performance. It is one of the 800 best accommodations out of a total of 13,000 hotels in the worldwide TUI program and was awarded the coveted “TUI Global Awards 2023”. And with a recommendation rate of 88 percent and 5.2 out of 6 points, the hotel is also one of the most popular hotels among HolidayCheck guests in 2023 and 2024. In 2024, the renowned “falstaff Hotel Guide” awarded the Strandhotel Zingst 91/100 points for the first time. The hotel achieved full points in the “Wellness” and “Location” categories. The hotel also scored 14 out of 15 and 9 out of 10 points in the “Service” and “Ambience” categories respectively.
Since 2023, the Strandhotel Zingst has also been awarded the second-highest GreenSign certificate (4/5) as a sustainable hotel. This makes the hotel only the second in the region to harmonize entrepreneurial action, ecological demands, social commitment and economic success in a special way according to the demanding criteria of the “GreenSign” institute. To achieve this, it had to meet over 100 criteria in eight categories such as the environment (energy, water, waste), biodiversity and cultural heritage or quality management and sustainable development and then undergo an audit. With the “GreenSign” level four, the hotel also meets the criteria of the “Global Sustainable Tourism Council” (GSTC).
