Real estate “display” as well as service and retail offerings must always be conceived and implemented from the customer’s perspective. In times when the digitalisation of goods and services is a matter of course, it is no longer a question of whether, but rather how to integrate online and offline concepts.
With the “Eintreffpunkt” in the City-Center Bergedorf (CCB ) near Hamburg, Jagdfeld Real Estate Jagdfeld Real Estate already realised such an integration at the end of 2018:
Idea:
The customer is offered an additional service by being offered a free central point of contact for all their online parcels in the shopping center. For example, they can try on the clothes they order on site and return them directly if they don’t like them. This means they can combine their normal shopping in the shopping center with online ordering.
Implementation:
The services of the now three major parcel service providers DPD, GLS and UPS are bundled under one roof in a highly frequented rental space specially provided in the center.
Success:
Customers are enthusiastically accepting the service, with around 2,500 parcels being moved at this point every month. For the center, this means additional frequency in addition to profiling through good service. For online retail in the city, which continues to grow, this means increasing sustainability through a reduction in delivery traffic and thus also noise and exhaust emissions.
