Jagdfeld Real Estate: Top 4 Shopping Centre Managers

Top 4 in Germany: Jagdfeld Real Estate is one of the highest-rated shopping centre managers.

Around 50,000 tenant reviews from some 400 shopping centres form the data basis for the Shopping Centre Performance Report (SCPR). A recent long-term analysis covering the years 2011 to 2025, published on 12 March 2026 in the Immobilien Zeitung, confirms Jagdfeld Real Estate’s strong market position.

Jagdfeld Real Estate has been ranked fourth in the operator rankings – based on reviews from tenants in the retail and hospitality sectors.

The results also reveal a clear structural shift in the market:
Shopping centres that serve as key local retail hubs and are actively managed often achieve more stable financial results today than traditional fashion centres.

In particular, the assessment focuses on factors that are crucial for retailers:
📍 Visitor numbers and customer profile
📍 a sustainable mix of sectors and tenants
📍 Active centre management and close partnership with tenants
📍 as well as the ongoing development of the sites.

The fact that Jagdfeld Real Estate has been one of the highest-rated operators in this sector for many years underscores the strength of its entrepreneurial approach to shopping centre and asset management – with a clear focus on economically sustainable retail locations.

Jagdfeld Real Estate applies this management expertise not only to its own fund-managed properties. Owners of retail properties under third-party mandates also rely on Jagdfeld Real Estate’s centre and asset management services to strategically develop their sites, increase footfall and secure stable long-term returns.

About the Shopping Centre Performance Report

The Shopping Centre Performance Report (SCPR) is one of the best-known and most important market studies for the shopping centre asset class in Germany and Austria. It provides insight into the financial performance of individual locations from the tenants’ perspective.

The report is compiled by the Wiesbaden-based economic and location consultancy ecostra GmbH. In Germany, this is done in collaboration with the trade journals *Immobilien Zeitung* (IZ) and *TextilWirtschaft* (TW).

The survey is conducted annually, having been carried out in Germany for the first time in 2011. The report is based on a survey of expansion and sales managers at large chain companies (retail, hospitality and services). Key criterion: tenants rate the financial performance (satisfaction with turnover/profit) of their stores at each location on a scale of 1 (very good) to 5 (poor). Ranking: These individual scores are used to calculate an average score for each centre, resulting in an overall ranking of around 400 shopping centres and transport hubs (railway stations, airports).
