Jagdfeld Real Estate Achieves Full Occupancy at the “Forum Steglitz” Shopping Center in Berlin

“Mister Spex” Opticians, “Mago” Butcher Shop, and “Washbear” Services are now open at Berlin’s “Forum Steglitz”

Berlin/Düren, October 19, 2026. Jagdfeld Real Estate has now secured the optician “Mister Spex” for its last available space in the Berlin shopping center “Forum Steglitz.” The well-known optician has signed a long-term lease on the ground floor and plans to open its store in early 2027.

The Berlin butcher shop “Mago” is also moving into “Forum Steglitz.” The family-run business, which has over 20 locations, will open its store on the ground floor and is expected to begin offering its meat and sausage products there as early as this fall. “Mago” has also signed a long-term lease.

The company “Washbear,” which combines shoe and key services, alterations, and laundry services, operates out of the basement and is expected to open its doors as early as this fall. This contract was also signed on a long-term basis.

“In these times, managing a shopping center with a 100% occupancy rate is a rare achievement. It is particularly satisfying to round out the ‘Forum Steglitz’—as we have done here—with additional high-quality tenants who further enhance the diversity of offerings and are committed to staying for the long term,” says Marius Lorenz, Head of Leasing at Jagdfeld Real Estate.

The “Forum Steglitz” in Berlin

The “Forum Steglitz,” which opened in 1970, is one of the first shopping centers in Germany; it reopened at the end of August 2022 following a comprehensive renovation and expansion. The mixed-use property now spans more than 35,000 m², approximately one-third of which is office space, and features 578 parking spaces in two parking garages. Its strong focus on local amenities, including the modern “Super Fit” fitness studio, rounds out the comprehensive offerings of this conveniently located center on Schloßstraße, one of Berlin’s busiest shopping streets.

The largest office tenants are HISolutions AG and the Free University of Berlin. The largest retail tenants are Edeka with its premium flagship store, Bauhaus with a city format and Lidl.

The property owner is Real I.S., which has entrusted “Jagdfeld Real Estate” with the center management, property management, and leasing management, as well as technical property management and building services for the property.

Jagdfeld Real Estate’s Retail Properties in Berlin
