Siegen, Siegerland-Center

Jagdfeld Real Estate took over the Siegerland-Center Weidenau, which was built in 1973 as a Hertie department store, in 1991 and converted it into a shopping center.

In 2001, the Siegerland Center-Weidenau (SIC) was converted and extensively revitalized by Jagdfeld Real Estate.

In 2008, the 2nd floor was renovated and the center’s mall was equipped with an additional WC facility. The old metal ceilings were removed and replaced by a modern ceiling with new lighting. Vertical access was significantly improved with the installation of two new panoramic elevators, which connect the outdoor mall directly to the 2nd floor.

The second floor of the center was also modernized in 2012. The entire ceiling, including the lighting, was also renewed here. The large anchor rental space was converted to create new attractive rental space. At the same time, additional access to the existing panoramic elevators was created.

In 2018/2019, the 300-car parking garage was completely renovated.

During all these phases, the tenant mix was continuously monitored and optimized where necessary.

At the marketing level, the property is constantly being used: Whether it’s the spring festival, the children’s festival in autumn or the Christmas market – together with our partners, namely the “Interessengemeinschaft Siegerlandcenter” and the “Aktivkreis Weidenau”, we do a lot to make Siegen-Weidenau more attractive and also attract people from further afield.

Jagdfeld Real Estate will continue to invest in the center in 2023, keeping it on track economically for institutional investors and attractive for local customers.
