Berlin, Rathaus-Center Pankow

Since 1999, the Rathaus-Center has been the place in Pankow where people from the district and the wider catchment area meet. With around 80 specialist stores on three shopping levels, strong anchor tenants and a balanced mix of sectors, the center serves the people of Pankow to cover their daily needs. In addition, the adjoining medical center, with a wide range of specialists from a wide range of disciplines, and the SalzDom for physiotherapy and medical treatments in the 2. and 3rd floor offers an additional service for visitors to the center.

Revitalisation and expansion completed

From 2018 to the beginning of 2023, the Rathaus-Center Pankow underwent major, strategically planned refurbishment work, for which Jagdfeld Real Estate has invested more than EUR 15 million since planning began in 2018. Following an initial partial refurbishment in the basement in 2018, this included an extensive refurbishment of the mall and access areas to the centre with new ceilings, a lounge area, a modern lighting concept, a revised wayfinding system and an upgraded waiting area in front of the lifts. Work on the new extension, which created around 2,100 m² or 7% additional space for the centre, was carried out in parallel.

In addition to the new TK Maxx store as the new anchor tenant, Rossmann has also been represented since summer 2023, significantly expanding from approx. 700 m² to approx. 1,000 m² within the center. Customers were already able to benefit from the refurbishment and expansion beforehand: Deichmann, for example, used the work in the center to build a new modern store (525 m²). And the owner-managed fashion store “Mila Moda” (85 m²) and the bubbletea store “Bobalism” (86 m²) moved into the first floor as new tenants in April.
