Woolworth opens 525 m² store in the “Siegerland-Center Weidenau” in spring
Düren/ Berlin, 19.01.2026. Asset manager “Jagdfeld Real Estate” has now successfully sold a commercial property for the first time with the help of a specially programmed AI agent. The “Siegerland-Center Weidenau” shopping center in Siegen, North Rhine-Westphalia, was sold to the local Saftekin Immobilien Group, which will continue to manage the approx. 14,200 m² center with its approx. 300 parking spaces.
“After holding the property for over 30 years, the investor community was looking for an exit. We are very pleased that we were able to realize this contract in the persistently challenging market environment and achieve a respectable result,” says Cengiz Herrmann, Managing Director of the asset management division of “Jagdfeld Real Estate”.
The asset manager is particularly proud of the specifically programmed AI agent, which was used here for the first time – with success: “The AI agent has helped us decisively, especially in the current challenging market situation. It has passed the litmus test in practical use. We will therefore also offer it to our other customers and expand it even further,” says Herrmann.
Woolworth now also represented in Weidenau
The leasing experts at Jagdfeld Real Estate provided a “free bonus” for the new owner by securing Woolworth as the new anchor tenant for the Siegerland-Center Weidenau in autumn 2025. The retailer from Unna (NRW), which is on an expansion course, is expected to open its approx. 525 m² store this spring.
The “Siegerland-Center Weidenau”
Asset manager “Jagdfeld Real Estate” took over the “Siegerland-Center Weidenau”, which was built in 1973 as a Hertie department store, in 1991 and converted it into a shopping center. Further fundamental modernizations and renovations were carried out in 2001, 2008, 2012 and 2019. The shopping center has an area of approx. 14,200 m² and approx. 300 parking spaces. The anchor tenants among the approx. 20 stores are Rewe, MediaMarkt, dm and, from now on, Woolworth.
