The international “c/o 56 Chemnitz”, developed and managed by our group of companies, is situated in one of the most beautiful locations in Chemnitz, directly on the Schlossberg with park-like surroundings and right next to the castle church and the castle pond. The lobby, restaurant and banquet area were brought up to date in 2017.
The city of Chemnitz is the most industrialized region in Central Germany with the core areas of the automotive industry and mechanical engineering, automation and future-oriented microsystems technology. Since our development, more than 7,000 new companies have settled in Chemnitz and the region, including such well-known companies as Volkswagen-Motorenwerk, Union Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH and Hörmann Rawema. Continental AG and IBM are each represented by branches. The hotel with 214 rooms and 12 suites, 21 conference rooms for up to 450 people, wellness area, restaurant and bar benefits from the numerous business guests of the nearby companies.
Since summer 2021, Jagdfeld Real Estate has managed all aspects of the hotel itself. Extensive revitalization is planned from 2025.
Following a successful external audit in accordance with the globally recognized GreenSign certificate, the Hotel c/o56 on the Schloßberg is now the “greenest” hotel in Chemnitz and the surrounding region. With this recognition at the second-highest level, the hotel once again underscores its leading role. There are only two other hotels in the Ore Mountains and Vogtland region with this certification, but at a lower level.
Hotel guests can already charge their devices with green electricity in their rooms and at the six electric charging points in the underground car park, and the honey for their bread rolls comes from the hotel’s own bees in the courtyard. Regionally sourced food not only tastes good, but also reduces transport distances. The hotel team contributed ideas and is helping to reduce waste, for example in the kitchen.
