Following extensive project development around the City-Center Bergedorf, which was built in 1973 and first converted in 1981, extensive extensions and revitalizations were carried out in several construction phases between 2006 and 2010.

City-Center Bergedorf shopping center (revitalization and expansion)
The shopping center from the 1970s located on the peninsula with around 10,000 sqm of retail space was renovated in the 2nd construction phase by 2010 during ongoing operations, incl. Medical floor and residential tower with 90 apartments, extensively revitalized. In October 2010, the extension opened with a further 13,000 square meters and a sensible addition to the product range on two retail levels.
The external appearance of the old building was matched to the new extension in terms of materials. The residential tower, a typical 1970s concrete building, was staged with green-looking glass swords and a separately illuminated escape route tower. With 5,400 square meters of living space, the 90 residential units in the tower offer a piece of the best residential location in Bergedorf thanks to their magnificent views.
The two retail buildings are connected by the light-flooded Serrahn Bridge, which invites customers and visitors to linger thanks to the restaurants located here with a view of the Serrahn. Since the revitalization, the extensively redesigned exterior façade and mall of the existing building have blended in with the new building so that the two form a single unit.
Following the expansion, the CCB will thus offer an exciting shopping experience on a total of 36,500 square meters as well as an extensive range of services on a total of 11,000 square meters of office and practice space. In addition to a medical center with 19 specialists and two recognized eye clinics, the Bergedorf district service center and the health department are located here.
The CCB’s more than 80 specialist stores are home to well-known tenants such as Edeka, P&C, C&A, TK-Maxx and many other regional and national providers that round off the center’s offering.
A total of over 1,200 parking spaces in the basement of the shopping center (extension building) and in the multi-storey parking lot opposite below the ZOB, as well as in the retail park, allow customers to shop in comfort.
