Jagdfeld Real Estate expands for “IU International University” in the “PLAZA Frankfurter Allee” by 4,100 m²

Asset manager Jagdfeld Real Estate has now refurbished 4,100 m² of new space for its tenant “IU International University” and has been able to let it on a new and long-term basis. This means that the Berlin campus of the private university of applied sciences is growing by almost 70% from 5,900 m² to almost 10,000 m².

“We tailored the space in our ‘PLAZA Frankfurter Allee‘ precisely to the needs of the ‘IU International University’ back in 2020. We have done nothing less than turn a hotel into a university – a prime example of successful transformation. The great success of the IU in our company is therefore no coincidence and is proof of our strength in offering our clients the best in each case,” says Benedikt Jagdfeld, head of asset manager Jagdfeld Real Estate, which manages the property on behalf of an institutional investor.

Jagdfeld Real Estate currently has 5. and The 6th floor of the “PLAZA Frankfurter Allee” will be converted into training rooms. The IU International University moved into its Berlin campus there at the end of 2020 after Jagdfeld Real Estate turned a hotel into a university following more than a year of renovation work.

The “IU International University”

The “IU International University” is a private, state-recognized university of applied sciences with over 100,000 students who can choose from 200 Bachelor’s, Master’s and MBA programs at over 30 locations. The Berlin campus, which is located in the “PLAZA Frankfurter Allee”, offers 33 degree courses ranging from A for architecture to W for business informatics.
