The modern mantra seems to be „back-to-the-roots.“ What was once taken for granted a few decades ago – the vibrant mixture of lively neighbourhoods incorporating shopping, leisure, and living spaces – is experiencing a renaissance today. The benefits are clear: shorter, environmentally-friendly pathways within the urban district and diversified risk in property utilisation.
Long before the modern term „quarter“ became commonplace, Jagdfeld Real Estate had already been pioneering this style of cohabitation, envisioning it as the epitome of the new marketplace. Stemming from their extensive expertise in the asset classes of Retail, Living, Office, and Hotel, they have successfully integrated these disciplines in various projects. Here are a few examples:
Quarter development in Hamburg
Shopping, living, working, official errands, doctor and bank visits, leisure activities, and even a place of worship – all under one roof. This is what the City Center Bergedorf offers, a project developed by Jagdfeld Real Estate as early as the 1970s and has since undergone multiple extensions and revitalisations. With its direct connection to the central bus station in the heart of the city and car parking spaces in the basement, it stands as a prime example of successfully interwoven asset classes within a vibrant quarter.
Mixed Use in Berlin
In 1995, Jagdfeld Real Estate developed a mixed-use office and commercial building, integrating retail, services, and dining in the trendy Friedrichshain neighborhood with the Plaza Frankfurter Allee. Notably, up until 2019, the 38,000 m² property housed a 120-room hotel by the Arcadia Group. In 2020, this space was transformed into an academic area: the acclaimed Private University “IU Internationale Hochschule” is now the new tenant in this successful mixed-use facility.
Mixed Use in Bonn Bad Godesberg
Centrally located in the heart of the beautiful district of Bad Godesberg in Bonn, Jagdfeld Real Estate manages the well-positioned mixed-use property Fronhofer-Galeria / Fronhofer-Office. This two-story townhouse covers 16,100 m² and is home to around 20 units comprising textile retailers, services, cosmetics, dining establishments, as well as a fitness studio. An adjacent underground parking facility caters both to shoppers and the office tenants located in the 6-story, 6,900 m² office tower situated above the retail space. This tower offers a breathtaking view of the Siebengebirge and Kottenforst. Both building sections and their respective uses complement and benefit from each other.
